Montgomery Gentry Announces New Album Release Date

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (LEX 18) - Breaking months of silence after the death of Troy Gentry, Eddie Montgomery has posted to Twitter to announce that Montgomery Gentry's final album will be released.

"Hey, Guys - I know it's been a while, but it has been a very emotional time, but you will be hearing from soon. Our new music is coming out and I hope you'll give it a listen. Me and T-Roy were very proud of this new CD," wrote Eddie.

Eddie's friend and partner Troy was killed in a helicopter crash in Medford, New Jersey hours before a concert.

A distress call was made and Medford police say that initial reports said the helicopter was going to attempt to crash land. Emergency crews arrived at the airport and Medford police say that shortly after their arrival, the helicopter crashed.

Montgomery had been quiet after the funeral but announced that the album they had been working on was finally set to be released.

The official release date of "Here's To You" is February 2, 2018. Fans who pre-order the album will be able to download three songs automatically including "Better Me" which was played at Gentry's funeral.
