Teen Arrested After Threats Made Toward Knox Co. School

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) -- A juvenile has been arrested after police say he made threats toward Knox County Public Schools.

According to a statement by police, during the evening on Wednesday, an anonymous telephone message was sent to the Knox County Board of Education threatening the schools. Kentucky State Police in Harlan were notified of the threats and began an investigation.

Criminal analysts were able to determine where the call came from. The juvenile is a student at Lynn Camp High School and confessed to the crime, police said.
