LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - There was heightened security at Lexington Catholic High School this morning after they received a possible threat yesterday. The threat has been determined by Lexington Police to be unfounded.
The school's principal says a former student is the one who made the alleged threat. Though officials believe it to be just a rumor, police will be present this morning as a precaution.
Lexington Police say they quickly identified several students involved in the incident and extra patrols were put in place.
The Times Tribune reports that Knox County Schools will also have added security as well this morning after receiving a threatening phone call on Wednesday.
