Family: Please Help Broghan Come Home

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) Lexington Police are entering the third day of the search for Broghan Lorentz. The 17-year-old wandered away from his home Tuesday.

Temperatures are dropping and his family found his beloved purple Fed-ex jacket and his socks. His father spoke with an LEX 18 producer and said he is mostly afraid that his son, who suffers from Tourette's is probably afraid of being arrested by law enforcement.

"His Tourette's are vocal, and motor ticks, so even if someone called out his name, he may be in a place where he can't actually respond," said Anitra Jump, Broghan's mother.

Broghan's parents want the public to know that He is most likely scared. They've created a flier to assure their son that he is not in trouble and that he can come home to his warm bed.

"Just call and let us know you are OK," said Anitra Jump. "If somebody has him at their house, just call and let us know he's OK. That's all we really want to know."

If you are in the Veteran's Park area, please print these fliers off and place them where they can be visible.

Download the flier here.

You can also follow the Bring Broghan Home Facebook page here to stay up-to-date on the search.
