3-Year-OId Shoots Self In Louisville Parking Lot

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE 3) - Police tell WAVE 3 that a child shot himself in a Louisville parking lot Monday. 

They report that the call came in around 5 p.m. Monday in the 21000 block of Hurstbourne Parkway in Jeffersontown near Buca Di Beppo. 

The Louisville Metro Police Department tells WAVE 3 that the 3-year-old shot himself in the head with a gun that was in the vehicle. The child's mother and another child were in the car at the time of the shooting. His father was at a used car lot. The loaded gun belonged to a parent, according to police. 

The child was taken to Norton's Children's Hospital. WAVE 3 reports that as of 6:25 p.m., the child was listed in grave condition, according to police.
