LOUISVILLE, Ky (LEX 18) -- According to a press release from MoveOn.org, Senator Bernie Sanders will headline a tour opposing Republican Tax cuts. The 'Protecting Working Families Tour' has a stop in Kentucky at the Galt House in Louisville on Friday.

The Louisville stop is scheduled to be the first stop in the Protecting Working Families Tour. The former presidential candidate and Senator is working with MoveOn.org and 'Not One Penny' for the tour which will make stops in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

The tour is an attempt to stop the Republican plan to raise taxes on working families, according to the press release.

“This legislation goes well beyond taxes. If passed, the Republicans will then rediscover the ‘deficit crisis,’ and push aggressively for massive cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, nutrition, affordable housing and more. That is why I am going on the road this week to talk directly to working people. If we stand together we can defeat this horrific bill,” Sen. Bernie Sanders said in the press release.

You can see the entire tour schedule below:

Friday, December 1 – Louisville, Kentucky

Saturday, December 2 – Dayton, Ohio

Saturday, December 2 – Akron, Ohio

Sunday, December 3 – Reading, Pennsylvania
