LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — LEX 18 is partnering with Salvation Army and the Fayette Mall to help make the holidays brighter for a lot of little kids in need. With three days remaining, there are still over 1,000 angels remaining.

An angel tree is at the mall, covered in tags with gift suggestions. Participants purchase a gift and it is matched to a deserving child.

So, grab a tag at the mall and check out the gifts on the wish list

You can bring those unwrapped gifts back to the tree in the mall or to Whitaker Bank locations in Lexington and Georgetown, which also are taking part in the program.

The last day to participate in the angel tree program is Dec. 10.

Toys are not the only things on Angel Tree lists. The Salvation Army needs your help to make sure local families have the food they need for Christmas dinner. There are still many tags left at area Krogers. The food tags will be up through Christmas so there is still time. Each food Angel Tree tag is $25.
