Crime Stoppers Most Wanted Person Of The Week: Murder Suspect On The Loose

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A murder suspect remains on the loose, and detectives say it is possible he has left the state. 

Robert McKissic is wanted in the October shooting death of Anthony Carter in Lexington. McKissic is the Bluegrass Crime Stoppers Most Wanted Person Of The Week.

"Only people that go through this know the hurt that it puts on a family," said Lisa Davenport, Carter's sister.

Carter was shot an killed in October on Jeffrey Court, allegedly over an argument with Robert McKissic. Carter was a contractor who had been hired by the apartment complex to handle their maintenance. McKissic, who is originally from Detroit, remains the primary suspect in the case. 

"It's like you're waiting and waiting to get that phone call to say he's been captured or whatever. I haven't gotten that so far," said Davenport.

Davenport said that she and Carter's other six siblings will wait and try to remember their brother in the best way possible. 

"Basically pray every day for him and the rest of our family, because it's very hard," she told LEX 18 in a phone interview.

He had just had a confrontation with hospital administration. Dr. Gestle's privileges have been revoked pending an investigation. He has been charged with a public intoxication charge.
