Seven Arrested In Drug Investigation

LAUREL COUNTY., Ky. (LEX 18)-- Seven people have been arrested and are facing charges after a drug investigation.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night deputies and detectives arrested the group off Old Kentucky 30, four miles north of London.

A search warrant was executed during the investigation, leading deputies to several bags of suspected crystal meth, scales, needles and other drug-related items. Possible stolen property was also found.

The following people were taken into custody, charged and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center: 

  • Timothy Jarvis, 51, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, the subject was charged on a district court warrant of arrest charging receiving stolen property under $500.
  • Joyce Liford, 45, is charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Russell Ray Vaughn, 36, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jr Brock, 33, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Ronnie Ray Colwell, 44, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • David A. Gibson, 28, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Crystal Rae Neeley, 47, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree first offense methamphetamine; engaging in organized crime; possession of drug paraphernalia.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a car at Watts Ferry and Clifton Road. 33-year-old Brian Brown was killed in the crash. He was on the motorcycle.
