Overnight House Fire Turns Deadly

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)--  The Boyle County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the woman killed in an overnight house fire. 

The fire started shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning at a home on Old Hustonville Road. 

Few details have been released about the fire, but the coroner says at least one body was found. The coroner has identified the victim as 64-year-old Gerri Compton.

Witnesses on scene tell LEX 18 that Compton worked at the jail.

Fire crews are still searching for a second person inside the home.
