Parole Decision In Lexington Murder To Be Decided Today

Posted: Updated:

LA GRANGE, Ky. (LEX 18)--  A decision by a parole board in the case of the man convicted in one of Lexington's most infamous murder cases is expected today.

Keith Bouchard was one of three people convicted in the 1986 murder of Michael Turpin.  Karen Brown and Turpin's wife, Elizabeth, were also convicted of murder and were denied parole in recent years.

Last Monday, Turpin's family told the parole board that they are still in deep pain 31 years later and asked that Bouchard serve out a life sentence.

The parole board met with Bouchard, who lives in the psychiatric unit of LaGrange prison. He told the board that he "made a mistake."

The decision was pushed off until Monday of this week.

An unusually potent summer setup will result in a potentially significant severe storm threat, mainly late in the day Friday. After a few morning showers & storms we should see a late morning/midday break allowing for destabilization and a stronger round (or rounds) of storms to develop late in the afternoon and track east through the evening. We're ramping up the LEX 18 Severe Threat Index to 2, a moderate risk. Damaging wind & large hail will be the primary threat for the B...
