Santa To Touch Down At Aviation Museum

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- While his usual mode of transportation is a sled pulled by reindeer, on Saturday Santa Claus is moving up to a turbine helicopter.

He will be touching down at 9:30 a.m. on the ramp just outside the Aviation Museum of Kentucky for a pre-Christmas visit.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., museum guests can visit with Santa and enjoy holiday refreshments. Museum admission will be free for each visitor who brings a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. The option to pay regular admission or purchase a toy for admission from the museum gift shop is available as well.

“The museum is happy to provide a landing site for Santa,” said Jim McCormick, board chair of the museum. “We invite all of Lexington to bring a new toy, help Toys for Tots, and enjoy ‘a seasoned pilot’ who really knows about flying and navigation.”
