Officials Seek Identification Of Victim

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)-- Officials need help identifying a man they found with multiple injuries.

Around 10:10 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to KY 564 for a white male dressed in a black coat walking in the middle of the roadway.

While a Deputy was enroute, a second call was received stating that the subject was screaming in the middle of the road walking South on KY 564 just passed Burnett's Chapel Road.

A third call was then received stating that the subject was possibly involved in a motorcycle collision and was now lying in the middle of the road, unconscious, but was breathing.

When the deputy arrived, he located the male lying on his back with multiple injuries. Upon the arrival of EMS, he was stabilized and was then air lifted to Deaconness in Evansville, IN. The victim had no form of identification on his person and is currently being listed as a John Doe until his true identity can be discovered.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5'10 to 6'0 tall, weighing 140 to 155 pounds. The male has a small goatee on his chin, with a shaved head on the side and hair cut short on the top. He has tattoos on both arms and his left shoulder. He was wearing jeans, grey Nike tennis shoes, a grey Burger King shirt, black hoodie and a red and black jacket.

The case is open at this time. Anyone with information as to the identification of the victim, or any information regarding the vehicle that may have hit him, is asked to call the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

A spokesperson with Baptist Health Lexington confirms that Dr. Theodore Gerstle, a plastic surgeon, was arrested after leaving the hospital. He had just had a confrontation with hospital administration. Dr. Gestle's privileges have been revoked pending an investigation. He has been charged with a public intoxication charge.
