Three Danville Football Players Offered Preferred Walk-on Spots at Kentucky
Days after Danville completed their 2A State Championship quest, three Seniors received more good news. D'Mauriae VanCleave, Jaleel Warren and Christian Hill were offered preferred walk-on spots at Kentucky. This according to Danville assistant coach Darius Baughman.
VanCleave was named MVP of the 2A final after scoring four touchdowns and intercepting two passes. He finished his senior season with 82 catches for 1,095 yards and 14 touchdowns, along with 762 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 72 carries.
Tight end/defensive end Jaleel Warren hauled in a touchdown during Saturday’s game, and Hill was also impressive Saturday defensively. The defensive lineman finished the season with 54 tackles.
