KSP Investigating Two Deaths In Breckinridge Co.

Posted: Updated:

BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP responded to a death investigation in Breckinridge County Wednesday morning.

Around 12:18 a.m., KSP received a call from the Breckinridge County dispatch requesting assistance at a shooting that happened outside a home on Centerview Rough River Road in Hudson.

KSP says when officers arrived, they found 60-year-old Donny Peek, of Westview, and 55-year-old Jeffrey Moore, of Harned, both dead in the driveway from gunshot wounds.

Peek was the live-in boyfriend of Theresa Moore who lives at the Hudson residence along with her son, 28-year-old Jonathan Masterson. KSP says that Peek and Theresa Moore were allegedly in a domestic dispute when her estranged husband, Jeffrey Moore, was called to the home. When Jeffrey Moore arrived, he and Peek were involved in an altercation in the driveway that resulted in Peek shooting Moore, according to KSP. KSP says that Masterson attempted to render aid to Moore when Peek allegedly fired a shot at Masterson. Masterson then pulled a gun out and fired it at Peek, striking him several times.

Autopsies were performed on both men.

No criminal charges have been filed.

The investigation continues.
