City Crews Report To Work Overnight For Road Treatment

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)  - Road crews responded in Lexington overnight to treat roadways after messy weather rolled in to the area.

State road crews were put to work Christmas Eve, making sure the interstates and state routes were salted. The District Seven Transportation Cabinet has been closely monitoring the forecast and made the decision to send out crews in light of the commute.

Temperatures dropped well below freezing and remain low throughout Christmas Day. If you are traveling, watch out for dangers like black ice.
