Man Arrested On Rape Allegations

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WNKY)-- A man has been charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl.

Kentucky State Police say 30-year-old Adam Steward allegedly raped the girl throughout the summer.

Officers arrested him at his home on Belltown Road in Hartford, charging him with six counts of second-degree rape.

His mother, Sandra, also was arrested accused of lying about whether her son was home.

Both were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. According to jail records, Sandra is no longer in custody.

Officials in Powell believe pranksters planted marijuana seeds in city-owned flower pots this spring, leading unsuspecting city workers to water and care for them.
