LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- A local shelter is in desperate need of winter gear.
The Hope Center has helped 1,483 people at the Emergency Shelter in the last seven days.
The organization needs thermal underwear, regular underwear, hats, gloves and other winter clothing.
They also need razors, deodorant, flip-flops and **over-the-counter medicine (they don't take medicine with dextromethorphan).
In case you were unaware, The Hope Center also takes used items, like shoes, jackets, etc.
Items can be dropped off at the shelter at 360 W. Loudon Avenue.
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Emergency crews are on the scene Monday evening after a vehicle hit a pedestrian along U.S. Highway 27 in Nicholasville.
