Coroner: Man's Death Could Be Related To Cold Temperatures

Posted: Updated:

GREENUP COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) - The Greenup County Coroner has identified the man found dead in a building with no heat.

Citing information from the coroner, police say that 54-year-old Jody Wayne Carver was found in a camper that had no heat or electricity along Route 784 in the Maloneton community.

While the coroner believes that the man had underlying health issues, he also believes cold played a role in the man's death, according to KSP.

Carver's body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.

KSP tells LEX 18 that another person was staying at the camper and was taken to the hospital with a cold-related illness.
