Gun Jams, Man Charged With Attempted Murder

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man was charged Saturday with attempted murder after another man told police he pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger.

William Higgins, 33, is charged in the incident police say occurred around noon at a home on Ohio Street.

According to Higgins' arrest citation, he pulled the gun on a man he used to sell drugs to and pulled the trigger several times.

The gun failed to fire, and the victim ran away and called 911.

Police say they found Higgins in a back yard with marijuana and cash, but they did not find a gun.
