Investigators Work To Determine Cause Of Georgetown House Fire

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)-- An investigation is underway after a home caught fire overnight. 

It started around 2 a.m. Monday morning at a home off of Burton Pike in Georgetown.

Officials say the fire was contained to the back portion of the home.

They added that no one was inside at the time and the home appears to be vacant. 

Arson investigators will try to figure out how the fire started.

    (LEX 18)-- Several countries around the world have reported sightings of Fireballs late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. There were numerous sightings in the United States from coast to coast. Kentucky had around 10 reports filed with the American Meteor Society from cities including Horse Cave, Lexington, Simpsonville, Louisville, East Bernstadt, Summersville, fort Mitchell and Madisonville.
