On going back on the road …

“It’s going to be a good time. Always excited to get on the road to travel cross country and see new places. For the team, it’s going to be a new challenge, another game. We never played these guys all season, so it’s going to be a new challenge to us.”

On what he’s done to improve …

“Really just bring more energy towards the team, try to play my hardest no matter how many minutes I get on the court, do whatever the coaches tell me to do and hopefully just get a W from it.”

On what worked well for him at the start of the game vs. Vanderbilt …

“Honestly I just came out with a lot of aggressiveness and more energy than I came out with the last game. I kind of started to slow down, which is my fault. I shouldn’t have done that, but we came out with the W and that’s all I’m happy with.”

On whether he needs to get off to a good start to build his confidence …

“It’s a learning process even during the game. You could fix your mistakes during the game. That’s what I did in the West Virginia game. You could see a couple mistakes in the beginning of the first half. In the second half, we talked about it at halftime and we fixed it.”

On why the team has periods where they take their foot off the gas …

“I think when we take our foot off the gas we just lose focus on being together and we as a team need to get better at that and just listen to our coaches and follow their directions and we’ll be good.”

On adjusting to college …

“I’m adjusting on the fly. I’m kind of getting used to it right now, but it’s a lot. It’s a whole lot different from high school. High school, you could take breaks during the game. In college, if you take a break you see yourself getting on the bench the rest of the game.”
