MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) As the community of Marshall County continues to heal, Kentuckians continue to honor the lives of the victims of the Marshall County High School shooting.
During Friday's session, representatives from both sides of the aisle wore orange and blue to show their solidarity with the school. Representative Will Coursey thanked house members, saying that the statewide response to his district has been overwhelming.
"Showing, as the chairman mentioned, the solidarity of our House of Representatives, and really the people of Kentucky that we're all behind the citizens of Marshall County, my community, and that we're Marshall Strong," said Coursey.
Using the two words Marshall Strong as a hashtag on social media, lawmakers across the Commonwealth were spreading a message of solidarity.
Schools across the Commonwealth set aside any rivalries and joined in with the message of support, encouraging students to wear orange and blue. Click here to see those pictures.
