For the first time in their last three games, Kentucky couldn't comeback from a miserable first half, falling to Missouri 69-60.

With the game tied at 9-9, Missouri went on a 7-0 run to take control of the first half.

Kentucky shot just 20% in the first half on 6-30 shooting, including 0-9 from behind the three point stripe. The Wildcats six first half field goals were tied for fewest of the season. They had that many in the first half on New Years Eve when they hosted Georgia. The 18 points were their fewest in a half this year.

The shooting woes allowed Missouri to compile a 8-0 run and close the half with a 28-18 lead, their largest of the entire first half.

Kentucky for as bad as they shot in the first half, came out efficient. The Wildcats hit four of their first five shots in half number two and cut Missouri's lead to 33-32. But from that point on it was all Missouri.

The Tigers began the second half 5-8 from downtown, allowing the home team to stretch their lead to as 14 points. But remember, the Wildcats had been down 14 in their past two contests and rallied for victory's.

Kentucky hit their first three of the ballgame with 2:51 seconds remaining to cut Missouri's lead to eight, and then forced a turnover, giving the Wildcats life. Kentucky would claw back, bringing the deficit to just five points, but would inch no closer. Kentucky falls to 17-6 (6-4) with a 69-60 defeat.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for Kentucky with 15 points. No other Cats joined him in double-figures. Kentucky shot just 31% from the floor in the loss.
