Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- Carrie Paul will be the next principal of Tates Creek Elementary, Superintendent Manny Caulk announced Thursday.

Paul has more than 14 years of experience in education, all in Fayette County.  She taught both kindergarten and fifth grade at Deep Springs Elementary prior to joining the staff at Tates Creek Elementary nine years ago as the Administrative Dean and Professional Growth and Effectiveness Coach. She has served as acting principal of Tates Creek Elementary since August.

“We are delighted to have Carrie join our leadership team,” said School Chief Heather Bell, who oversees Tates Creek Elementary. “In her role as PGES coach and this year serving as Interim Principal she has proved to be an outstanding leader, focused on relationships and results.  Carrie’s commitment to the students, staff and families at Tates Creek and value of the IB journey are an asset to the campus community.”

Paul earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Morehead State University, a master's degree in literacy at Georgetown College and her principal certification at Eastern Kentucky University.
