Eubank Man Accused In Multiple Thefts From Lexington To Somerset

Posted: Updated:

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a Eubank man who they say is responsible for a rash of thefts stretching from Lexington to Somerset.

Richard Brewer, 42, of the 900 block of Floyd Switch Road is charged with one count of receiving stolen property worth more than $10,000 and one count of receiving stolen property over $500 but under $10,000.

Eubank police said the department was contacted Tuesday by officials with the Jessamine County Sheriff's Department, who said they'd received a tip alleging Brewer was involved in burglaries and thefts in the area.

Among the items allegedly stolen was a blue-and-white manufactured outbuilding.

Eubank police say that they spotted, from the road, an outbuilding matching the description on Brewer's property. After obtaining permission to search the property, police say, officers found "numerous" other items that they believe were stolen.

Among the recovered items, according to police, was an antenna system from a pumping station belonging to the Eubank City Water Department.

Police say other items appear to have been stolen from various locations between Lexington and Somerset.

Authorities say the investigation continues and more charges are likely.
