Ky. State Police Raffling Car To Aid Kids Summer Camp

Posted: Updated:

(LEX 18) — Help some kids in need, maybe win a muscle car.

Kentucky State Police is selling raffle tickets for the chance to win a 2018 Dodge Charger. Proceeds for the raffle will go to the agency's Trooper Island Camp for underprivileged children.

There are 20,000 tickets available, and they cost $10 each. They can be purchased KSP posts as well as online here.

The winning ticket will be drawn Aug. 26 at the Kentucky State Fair. (The winner does not need to be present for the drawing.)

The vehicle up for grabs is a new four-door, five-passenger 2018 Dodge Charger R/T 392 ScatPack, with a V8 SRT HEMI MDS engine.

Trooper Island is a free summer camp for underprivileged boys and girls ages 10 o 12. KSP operates the camp at Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County. It is financed entirely by donations, no public funds are used. Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children.
