Posted: Updated:

BURLINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) The Boone County Sheriff's Department is looking for a missing 86-year-old Burlington man diagnosed with a case of advanced dementia.

They say that 86-year-old Manuel Fonseca slipped out of the house with his wife's keys at 5 p.m. Tuesday and has not been seen since. He left in the family 2013 Hyundai Elantra 4 door sedan bearing Kentucky license 791-PPC. While Manuel is reported to be a good driver, family is concerned he won’t be able to find his way home.

Fonseca was last seen wearing a brown checkered shirt, blue jeans, and tan tennis shoes. He is accompanied by his pet, an American Eskimo dog named Neco.

Anyone who comes in contact with Mr. Fonseca or the tan Elantra is urged to call 911 immediately. Fonseca has been entered as a critical missing person in the national database (NCIC) so all police departments will be aware of his circumstances.
