LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington woman was arrested after police say she attacked the principal at Henry Clay High School and police.

Rosana Garcia, 33, is accused of hitting the school official and attempting to kick and hit police officers Friday at the school.

According to an arrest citation, Garcia was called to the school due to a disorder involving one of her children.

It says that she entered the building but refused to identify herself and tried to move farther into the school.

According to police, when the principal attempted to calm Garcia down she struck him. When police intervened and tried to cuff her, Garcia tried to kick and hit them, the arrest citation says.

Garcia was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
