UPDATE: Georgetown Police Have No Suspects In Attempted Armed Abduction Of Girl

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Georgetown said Sunday morning they have no suspects identified a day after an armed man apparently tried to abduct a girl Saturday near an apartment complex.

Police tell LEX 18 that a man grabbed a young female by the arm, said "come with me" and showed her a gun.

Authorities say the would-be victim somehow got away from the man. Police say she was not injured.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Scotland Woods apartment complex in the 100 block of Scotland Drive.

Police on Saturday said they were interviewing a person of interest in the case.

But on Sunday police said they had released that person and had no suspects identified in the case.

The do have description. They say the suspect is a black man with a light complexion in his 50s with curly hair. They said he left the scene on foot, walking toward Interstate Highway 75.

Police said they would canvassing the area Sunday.
