LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police say a pair of crashes on New Circle Road brought traffic to a standstill late Sunday night.
Reportedly they both happened on the inner loop of New Circle between Georgetown Road and Leestown Road.
Police say the first was a single-car accident involving a red pickup truck that hit a concrete rail and flipped.
Police tell LEX 18 two males were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and they are working to determine if alcohol was a factor.
Because of that accident, police say, a second crash happened about 100 yards away.
They say three cars were involved, though it was a minor wreck.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries in that incident.
The inner loop was shut down for more than an hour, and a portion of the outer loop also was shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.
