LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Usually, having your ducks in a row is a good thing. If you are a Chinese restaurant and you are photographed hanging ducks outside near your dumpster, it's quite the opposite.
A photograph of poultry hanging outside of Panda Cuisine on Nicholasville Road circulated Tuesday on social media. The photographer notified the Health Department, which immediately responded.
"We received a complaint about Panda Cuisine yesterday, and an inspector visited the restaurant. We made them discard the ducks and are requiring them to come in for a conference to discuss sanitary practices," Kevin Hall, a communications officer with the Lexington Fayette Health Department confirmed to LEX 18.
The restaurant has five days to respond.
Panda Cuisine provided LEX 18 with a statement: "We do our best for our customers to keep high quality of food," said Ke Bao, the co-owner. "You know, anyway, its our fault. The food come out there — it's no good."
