LAUREL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) - Laurel County firefighters took a break from fighting fires on Saturday to rescue a kitten in need.

According to a Facebook post, units were called just before 10:30 Saturday morning to a home on TIB Drive on reports of a small kitten trapped under a trailer. The homeowner was not able to get into the small space to retrieve the kitten. Once firefighters responded, they were able to rescue the small cat from the tight space.

They reported the newborn kitten was taken to Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital for further treatment.
