Firehouse Subs Donates $17K In Equipment To Campbellsville Fire-Rescue

Posted: Updated:

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) -  Firehouse Subs donated more than $17,000 worth of emergency equipment to Campbellsville Fire-Rescue.

The department received six sets of turnout gear and four sets of swiftwater rescue protective equipment valued at $17,263. The awarded gear will replace old, damaged gear nearing the recommended lifespan set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), helping ensure volunteers are properly equipped to deliver safe and efficient services to their community.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is the restaurant's non-profit that raises money to help firefighters across the nation with equipment and education.

Donation canisters on register counters explain the non-profit’s mission and collect spare change, while the Round Up Program allows guests to “round up” their bill to the nearest dollar. All funds raised benefit the Foundation.

The Foundation is also the beneficiary of a Charitable Sales Promotion where Firehouse of America (FOA) will donate to the Foundation a sum equivalent to 0.13% of all gross sales with a minimum donation of $1,000,000 through December 31, 2018.
