ESPN was the first to report that former University of Kentucky guard, Jodie Meeks, has exercised his player option to play a second season with the Washington Wizards.
Meeks is coming off a season where he averaged just 6 points and shot 34% from behind the three point line. Toward the end of last season, he also was hit with a 25 game suspension for testing positive for a banned NBA drug. So, he will still miss the first 19 games playing for Washington next season.
Meeks will earn $3.5 million for his second year with the Wizards.
