Trial Begins For Pair Accused In Lexington Marine's Murder

Posted: Updated:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- Nearly four years after a Marine's brutal murder, his accused killers will face a jury.

The trial for Quincinio Canada and Dawan Mulazim is set to begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Fayette County Circuit Court.

Police say on the night of June 21, 2014, Jonathon Price and his wife Megan were leaving Austin City Saloon after a late night when they were approached by two men with a gun.

Reportedly the men demanded cash, and shot both Jonathon and Megan. She survived, while her husband did not.

It was almost a year before Canada and Mulazim were charged with murder, robbery and assault.

Police say after Price was killed, the pair went on a crime spree that included car chases, robberies, and another shooting.

If convicted of the crimes, the death penalty is on the table for both suspects.
