Cherish Walters joined the LEX 18 team as a Digital Content Producer in September 2022. Cherish graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in broadcasting and electronic media.
Cherish has always had a love for writing growing up, which led to her interest for telling stories.
She spent most of her college career working for the independent student newspaper, the Eastern Progress, in which she was the sports editor for 1.5 years. While sports editor, she covered all sorts of EKU Athletic stories.
During her senior year of college, she worked for WTVQ in Lexington, shooting high school football on Friday nights.
Cherish is excited to start this new journey in her journalism career, covering all things Kentucky.
