Jill joined the LEX 18 StormTracker Weather team in June 2016. Her passion for the weather began in middle school science class. Growing up in western Pennsylvania she witnessed everything that the four seasons had to offer. She went on to study meteorology and communication at Saint Louis University.
Before moving to Lexington, Jill was the Morning and Noon Meteorologist at WDTV in Clarksburg, WV. During her time in north-central West Virginia she tracked tornadoes and severe storms along with a 20-inch snowfall.
In 2019 she received the designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist from the American Meteorological Society. When she’s not forecasting the weather you can find Jill exploring her other passions – ballet and cooking/baking.
