LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department said Wednesday it had identified a man accused of illegally dumping construction materials in a field off Russell Cave Road.
Lexington Police spokesman Sgt. Aaron Greenleaf said 38-year-old Jason S. Bennett of Cynthiana has been charged with criminal littering in the case.
Police say that in August 2018, iHeartMedia contacted police about dumping that had happened at their radio transmitter site on Russell Cave Road near Huffman Mill Pike.
Police say that a check of surveillance video revealed that on Aug. 1, a man driving a pickup truck and trailer left a large amount of construction debris on the property, including wood paneling, planks, and decorative columns.
