(LEX 18) — It's been two weeks since LEX 18 spoke one-on-one with Governor Andy Beshear about the state's unemployment mess, which set off a huge response from LEX 18 viewers.

More than 500 people have reached out to us by email, social media, and phone asking for help.

Pam Stigall had been trying since May to get her unemployment benefits. She'd struck out time and time again until she saw our report and gave us her information. And then, things changed.

"On Sunday night, I got a phone call at 7:30 at night from a lady with unemployment," said Stigall. "She says I'm going to send you two forms, and when I send you the forms, if you'll fill them out and email them right back to me, I'll see what i can do."

On Wednesday the 16th, she was able to get all of the unemployment back pay that she was missing.

"Then on Friday the 18th, I actually got the stimulus whatever you call that – extra," she said. "So they're all caught up with me ... my story had a good ending!"

That's 12 weeks of unemployment benefits deposited in her account.
