LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Thousands of Kentuckians are still without work. To make matters worse, many of them have yet to receive an unemployment check.
However, a local business called Precision Staffing is working to ease the burden on families. The company is looking to fill over 200 positions in Fayette, Bourbon, Woodford, and Fleming County.
Officials say many of these jobs don't require a college degree or previous experience, and they are also offering social distant interviews, and say they have safe and clean working environments for employees.
"If we are doing in-person interviews we do what we call sort of a carhop interview where we will come out to you and meet you at your car and conduct that interview from a safe distance and you can apply from the safety of your car," says development manager and recruiter, Leslie Moore.
Moore says she is devastated seeing Kentucky families suffer as they deal with unemployment.
"This is definitely an unforeseen time for all of us," Moore said. "If we can be a little bit a part of that and help families really get back on their feet, we go to bed with ease."
