LEXINGTON (LEX 18) — Police were investigating after one person was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning at a gas station on the city's east side.
Authorities tell LEX 18 that the shooting occurred around 5:15 a.m. at the Thornton's station at Winchester Road and Strader Drive.
Officials said a man showed up at Good Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg after the incident.
The man was then taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment. Officials tell LEX 18 the man's injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators were on the scene, taking pictures and processing evidence.
Authorities said they believe two vehicles were involved, as well as an unknown number of suspects.
