BARREN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 10-year-old girl is dead after a truck crash in Barren County.
It happened around 8:00p.m. Saturday on Coral Hill Road.
Kentucky State Police officials say 32-year-old Christopher McCoy was driving east in a pick-up truck when he went off the road on a curve.
He then over-corrected, causing the pick-up to cross both lanes of traffic and leave the left side of the road, hitting several trees.
McCoy was taken to the hospital while a 10-year-old passenger was pronounced dead.
Troopers say she was wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
