LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Laurel County Sheriff's Department has identified two people killed Monday night in a crash that also seriously injured four others.

Officials said 38-year-old Jamie Gillam of London and 21-year-old James Dylan Johnson of London both were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Authorities said the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Old Way Road east of London.

Police said Johnson was driving a Kia Rio northbound when hit struck the Honda Odyssey van driven by Gillam. Officials said the crash occurred as Johnson's Kia "topped a small hill" and struck the Odyssey headon.

Officials said four others in the Odyssey were injured. Police said 46-year-old Kenneth Gillam of London was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with multiple injuries. Three children -- ages 6, 11, and 14 -- also also were taken to St. Joseph, with the youngest and oldest children later airlifted to the Universtiy of Kentucky Medical Center.

Authorities earlier had said six people were injured in the crash.
