LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Residents in the Meadowthorpe subdivision can breathe a sigh of relief after three juveniles were taken into custody on 45 charges of criminal mischief.

The neighborhood was on edge after surveillance caught vandals shooting BB guns into homes and cars. Neighbors were devastated to find significant property damage.

And to make matters worse…the vandals struck again later the same week. Some of the same victims were hit.

Many residents of this neighborhood are now stuck with big bills to get things fixed. Police patrols were increased in the area.

On Thursday, June 27, detectives received information of a suspicious car in the Boysenberry Street area. This led them to the juveniles.

While interviewing the juveniles they confessed to being responsible for the Meadowthorpe property damages. Detectives were able to clear 45 cases of criminal mischief.

The juveniles were taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of felony and misdemeanor Criminal Mischief charges. Their names will not be released publicly.
