LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — He's six-foot-five, has a bushy gray beard, and holds a sack full of toys. But this Santa was never meant to ride off in a sleigh.

The Wiatrowski family, of Lexington, was shocked to discover that someone had stolen their beloved Santa display on Friday.

The video, captured by surveillance cameras at about 2:20 a.m., shows a man picking up the heavy Santa and taking him off the porch. The man's face cannot be seen in the video.

The Wiatrowski family has not called police, but they are making a direct plea to whoever is responsible.

"My plea would be, ‘Bring Santa back, put him back on the porch, no questions asked',” Sally Wiatrowski said.

The Santa display had become a fixture in the neighborhood, adorning the family's porch every December for the last 15 years.
