Today would have been a spectacular day to be sitting trackside... Temperatures were pleasant and our skies featured a nice mix of sunshine and clouds. Cloud cover will continue to increase tonight as a weak cold front glides into eastern Kentucky. A stray shower may get squeezed out in the process. This front will be hung up along the spin of the mountains. So the first weekend of April ends with a chance for isolated showers, even a rogue thundershowers. Temperatures will be similar to today with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
The springtime feel continues next week. Temperatures will climb into the lower 70s Monday under partly sunny skies. The middle of the week gets unsettled with rounds of showers and storms pushing through the Bluegrass. Some storms could be on the strong side Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will cross Thursday and showers will wrap up. This front will turn things cooler, dropping highs from the mid 70s to the 50s. At this point, Easter weekend looks dry as temperatures recover.
