A muggy summer evening

Once storms fizzle, it stays muggy tonight.

Isolated storms continue to dissipate as they drift into the Bluegrass. There is still the potential for a storm or two to break free early this evening. Otherwise, it will be a perfect evening for a picnic and to enjoy the Lexington Philharmonic as they perform the music of Queen. Skies will remain clear to partly cloudy and it will be a muggy night with lows in the upper 60s.

We are bracing for two of the hottest days of the year. Highs Sunday and Monday will climb into the mid 90s, while the heat index nears 100 degrees each of the next two afternoons. Sounds like a perfect pool day tomorrow! The heat will cool off a touch through mid-week as storm chances ramp up. Thunderstorms will be mostly likely on Wednesday. Storms will wrap up on Thursday then it will turn "cooler." We'll settle for the mid 80s on Friday, which after this heat will feel pretty good.
