We are in between systems today. A "cool" front passed through yesterday, a Canadian cold front will drop in Friday. While we wait we will see a typical August day today - very warm and muggy with sunny to partly cloudy skies.
Clouds will begin increasing this evening with an isolated shower or storm possible north of I-64 by morning. The second cold front of the week will bring scattered storms tomorrow afternoon. All activity will clear before the start of the weekend. Behind the front we will enjoy a delightful day on Saturday with mild temperatures and less humid. The break from the heat and humidity won't last long. Temperatures will quickly rebound on Sunday with highs in the lower 90s. The heat will continue into next week. Storm chances will be on the rise once again as another front attempts to push through the Ohio Valley during the middle of next week.
