What month is it again?

A very spring-like set up is taking shape as we head into the weekend with record warmth, gusty winds, rounds of rain, and the potential for strong/severe storms. A strong low will move through the southern Plains tomorrow before working into the Ohio Valley over the weekend. Rain will develop throughout the day on Friday. Rounds of rain will continue into Saturday.

This system will carry the potential for strong and severe storms. The threat will be across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas tomorrow. There will be a widespread potential from the Gulf Coast toward the Ohio Valley Saturday afternoon and evening. The southern half of Kentucky will be at the greatest risk locally with damaging winds as the top threat. Rain will shut down early Sunday and it will turn cooler. Aside from the rain and storm potential, we will also challenge daily record highs tomorrow and Saturday with highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s.
